Guest claiming a refund

A guest has requested a refund and since they are regulars and had to cut their stay short due to a family emergency, I have approved the refund through an automated email from AirBnB.  I look at my calendar though and the guest's stay is still blocked. I cannot "alter / change" the reservation because the trip has already started.  How can I unblock the calendar to open up my days for others to book?

It seems the guests didn't cancel, @Kate309, you just refunded them. So as far as Airbnb is concerned, you still have an active booking- they don't know that you refunded because the guests had to leave. Contact Airbnb, explain what happened and see if they'll open the calendar. The guests should have cancelled, then you wouldn't have this issue.
