Hi Need Advices, Helps, Urgent.

Hi All

Im having an issue with one of my recent trip. I booked a place for 1300 USD for 2 nights for company trip, All of the participants is in singapore on the first day, but i supposed to arrived on the 2nd day.

The host request me to cancel the booking on the day of my check in.

Dear Michael, I am very sorry that third party bookings are not allowed by the platform. As you are coming in tomorrow, it is actually logistically impossible for me to check your friend in. Please understand the constraints here. Could you please cancel the booking? Thanks! Adrian

 

I told him that most of my team are also and Airbnb member and i put their name/id on the guest list, and i said that ill be gladly to meet him the next day if needed.

But after a few international phone call, seems the host still very much reluctant to accept my request, and asked me to wait for a call from AirBnb call assistant. So since it's already 7pm in the afternoon, i need to find another place as soon as possible , and finally find and booked a local hotel (after more than 10x calls to random hotels, which room was all sold out) . So after that i decided to cancel the booking on AirbnB and request the host to do the cancelation, and hoping that my 1300 usd dollar will be full refunded.

Later that night, around 10 pm, the AirBnb call me, and after 10 minutes talk, she agreed and told me that my booking is actually okay, not and issue. So later that night i put my refund request in the resolution center. and till now, the host has not yet reply me back. 

Since this is a company trip, i need to get the money back as soon as possible. Have any of you ever have this kind of experience before? need all the advices and helps possible T_T
