Host Cancellations

To whom it may concern:

I've been in contact with the renter of Loon Landing for August 8-10 ~ I've been trying to give her other options to rent as my owners have decided that those are dates that they need to visit their place...

I've been trying to deal with this since April with no response from the renter except for her being mad...

Can you please help me out on what my options are? I do have another email into the owner as well...

@Up-North0 it is your responsibility to cancel the reservation, she can't cancel since she will loose the service fee and it is hot her fault that you didn't keep your calendar up to date. You could contact Airbnb, maybe they will cancel for you penalty free. 

Thank you! To be honest, I'm not worried about it being penalty free ~ I'll tack it back on to the owners who didn't give me their owner reservation dates until too late...I just want confirmation from the renter that it's okay to cancel...

@Up-North0 why do you need it? Even if it isn't ok with him you can't host him anyway. Better cancel immediately so that he has a chance to book another place. 

I don't need it ~ the owners do. I just property manage it for them and they ended up giving me their vacation dates so late...

@Up-North0 @Ana1136 meant why do you need confirmation from the renters that it’s ok? It sounds like it’s not ok with them and they are just out of luck.

@Up-North0, @Lisa723 explained it. I meant what difference does it make? If they say it is not ok will you host them? 

Thanks ladies! I would've loved to have put them in one of my other rentals, but they were so mad about this one that they've decided to not "talk" to me anymore...making it hard to confirm cancellation with them and/or move them...

@Up-North0 but why do you or the hosts need it? They obviously don't want to be moved, just cancel and let them have the refund and time to book again. Are you waiting for them to allow you to cancel? What difference does it make when you need to cancel in any case.
