Host and deposit

is it legal if the host wants from me deposit when i arrive, when he/she doesn't mentioned it in the conditional of use of the apartment. Nowhere in the advertisement? How can I be sure of the returning of my money if nothing is broken?

Basically no.

Any money handling should be via AirBnb including any security deposit.

@Mihaela34  @Emiel1  @Ian-And-Anne-Marie0  its not allowed for ordinary hosts but is for business hosts.

If you've booked at a resort then yes, you can be asked for a deposit in cash on arrival.

It has to be clearly set out in the house rules as in the listing below

Can I make Airbnb take deposit off customer? Or do I have put in my add and take it off them myself?
