My host informed me that my accepted reservation was no longer available due to a technical reason. And offered to book me into a different property which not suitable for my needs as it was in a different part of London from where I made the reservation.
The host then said I had to make the cancellation request due to their 'technical issues'. I was not refunded the service fee. This does not seem right, can someone please advise?
@William-Mark0 . Your host should have been the one canceling. Call AirBNB and have them review the AirBNB message thread to attribute this cancelation to the correct party. That should allow them to refund your service charges.
