Host service Fee

Hi everyone! I cant seem to find how the host fees are calculated! Anyone knows the % for hosting or how its calculated? Help!!

@Erika111  Host fees just changed recently, from what I've read.  Previously it was a flat 3% from the gross amount of the stay.  Now I believe it varies depending on your cancellation policy.  The stricter the cancellation policy, the more you pay in host fees.

Flexible - 3% still

Moderate - 4%

Strict - 5%

This si very strange - I have spent 20 minutes trying to find out what Airbnb will charge me for bookings to my property - why be so secretive? even though we pay a fortune to booking.com at least they are up front about their charges
