Hosting Staycationers

It is my own fault for not having fully vetted them before I accepted their request to stay, but I am not thrilled about hosting a couple who lives in NYC...when I live in NYC. Anyone have any words to put me at ease?

Hi - you are going to have to explain what you think the problem is so that people can give advice. Have you asked them why they are staying? It could be anything from having lived there before (and not updated their profile when they moved) to having work done to their apartment. Ask them some questions...

I always ask guests why they chose my place and plans for their stay. In addition if they are local you can say you noticed this so would like to understand why they need a place close to where they live.

I also have that guests need to have verified ID.

If they don't have a photo of themselves and profile you can also ask them to complete this.

If you aren't comfortable with what they say or they don't come back to you. Contact Airbnb
