Located in rural North Cornwall, we have an issue with our listing which is causing us increasing grief with guests. We are unable to edit the location in our listing to reflect accurate location information for guests. Our official address as per the UK Royal Mail is simply not accepted by the AirBnB service. AirBnB tech have entered a temporary (and incorrect postcode) to get us through but this directs guests down a dirt track! We have contacted the support team but they report it is being looked into. This has been an issue for around 2 months. Kinda disappointing.
You could always include this in the note you send to your guests when they book?
Thanks for the advice Gordon. This was the AirBnB team’s recommended temporary workaround, however the issues were arising pre-booking. Our listing was not appearing in searches and the location map prior to booking placed the lodge on a trading estate. We received countless messages from would-be guests asking if the location was correct. A dip in bookings confirmed that there were probably a few potential guests that simply went elsewhere. Thankfully the tech guys at AirBnB sorted the issue yesterday.
Glad to hear that you got sorted. I am in South East Cornwall. I had exactly the same issue and had to do the temp address thing but tech team eventually sorted it. Hope all goes well for you now.
