Hi, I’m new to hosting and have had a couple of bookings from parents for their (grown up) children or other adults for their niece/ nephew for example. Is this ok or should I only take bookings from the person actually registered with Airbnb?
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thank you!
@Ruth424 Tell them that the actual party staying must be the one to book. This would be third party bookings which are against AirBnB's Terms of Service. The Host Guarantee would not cover the booking in the event you should need it. It's not that hard for them to set up their own accounts.
Hi Letti, Thank you so much for your response. It was very helpful. Best wishes, Ruth
Hello @Ruth424,
Welcome to the Community Center!
I was wondering if you've seen Letti's reply to your question?
Hi Quincy,
Yes, it was very helpful.
Thank you.

you will not be punished if you accept it but it is not a good idea.... third party will not read your listing, description, house rules.. and they may be dissapointed or will expect something different.
We had a third party booking once when a man booked for his two colleagues . They were very rude and unpleasant. I contacted the one who booked and told him not to book for them any more because he is risking a bad review.
Thank you. I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
