Hosting

Hi, this is my first time hosting in my apartment but I will be away.

A friend is going to let the guests in and make sure everything is okay.

Do you have any tips about what I should prepare and how the payment process works?

kindly let me know.

Hello @Dalia36

Have you stayed in an Airbnb as a guest?

This is the 1st thing I recomend to new hosts.

Payments are credited 24 hours after the guest checks in - but for 1st time host, it can take up to 30 days - this is to avoid fraud.

Please make sure your friend is aware of any "particulars" of your house - how to control heating, how to lock the door, where the guests should leave the key.

I usualy get a little basket in the kitchen with salt, pepper, tea, coffee, leave milk in the fridge, and all the basics, a couple of cereal bars, plus a couple of bottles of water in the bedroom.

I also leave make up remove wipes, so there are no stains in the towels.

But really is up to you what you offer to the guest.
