How can I offer an extra day?

I have guests checking in today who had orginally asked to stay an extra day. It wasn't available at the time but now it is. How can I offer it to them?

Hello @Rachel282,

Make sure the additional night is available on your calendar; then, ask the guest to go to their booking and click on "cancel or alter", then alter (NOT CANCEL) the booking to add the extra night. You will receive a notification that your guest is requesting an alteration, you just have to accept it. By no means try to get paid outside of Airbnb or you will not be protected by whatever happens THAT extra day.

As a host you can make the offer - you don't have to ask the guest to do it.  Otherwise yes, followTania's directions.  If you click on your reservations tab then on the reservation that you want to change.  Two boxes show "change" or a different box to "cancel"

They may end up not "accepting" if their plans have changed.
