How can you give guests an incentive to clean the space? would like to rtn fee if "good"

We would like to give guest the opportunity to clean the space to the level we delivered it.

I see you can charge a cleaning fee, but you can not give them an incentive/rebate if you are happy with the results?  any suggestions,  we could really like to clean less:):)

I once stayed in an Airbnb in Fall City, WA (USA) and the hosts stated that the cleaning fee of X amount would be refunded if the space was left in top condition. They Left further instructions/suggestions in the house to strip the bed, clean dishes, and leave all laundry in a single pile. If guests are in a hurry or aren't motivated to get the cleaning fee back, no big deal-- they already paid. If they are motivated to get the fee back-- just issue them the payment at the end of their stay. 

There is some trust involved, in that the guest(s) trust the host to refund the cleaning fee when they complete their side of the bargain.

Hi! I live in Panama City FL, lots of vacation rentals here, and I I clean condos for a living. Two of the units I clean are left in absolutely fabulous shape 95% of time. The only difference I can find in these units are opposed to other ones is the owner (she uses VRBO) offers a 10% discount on future bookings if guest receive a good review from housekeeper. The other things I've found in my experience that help encourage guest to not leave your property nasty is 1 screening beforehand (the owners who do a good job screening end up with better guest) and 2 the cleaner and nicer (as in well maintained and comfortable) your property the nicer your guest will stay it. Of course there will still always be that guest who leaves the property a disgusting mess, it just happens sometimes.  This is just based on my own experiences.

I have the same question as Gunnar. I would love to give back money to a person that leaves my cabin clean.

I have the understanding that I need to go through Airbnb, which I have no problem doing at all. I just don't know how to do it.

I only see two reasons to give money back:

1-Unclean or inaccurate listing - Not the case, ever.

2-Other trip-related issues - Not the case either.

I don't mind sending them a check or giving to them through PayPal, BUT, I will not break any Airbnb policies.

Any suggestions?
