How to see available rental flats on a Map View

I used to be able to use a map view instead of a listing view.  I can't seem to see anyway to view units on a map.  Is it working?  Is there a trick to see this view?  Thanks.

@Donna643

The map shows you the (approx.) location of the listings found.

example:

https://www.airbnb.com/s/homes?refinement_paths[]=%2Fhomes&query=Berkeley&map_toggle=true

Hi @Donna643

If You don't see a map I assume You are in "list view". There's a button on Your screen that says "map view". Hit that botton and You'll see the map as indicated by the name "map view". That's how internetpages work nowadays. Read what's on the screen and hit available buttons, then see what happens.

Thank you all so much.

I have always used map view (instead of list view) especially when I want to see the listings in a specific area of a city.

However, I just don't see the map or map view button (anymore) neither on Safari nor Firefox.   Has it been hidden or moved to some not so visible spot?  (the answer is yes, it is hidden depending on how you are using your browser.)

If you are using a browser with a sidebar, the map function doesn't show and there is no bottom slider to show that there is more info on the right side of the page, off the screen.   So the answer is that if you have any sidebar including the narrow default one on Firefox, you need to close it - only then will you see the map function on the right side.  Otherwise, I don't think there is any other way to access it.

I did see other people saying the "map function" disappeared - I do think the page layout is not so conducive to smaller screen sizes in which case the map function does indeed disappear.    I think this is a bug  :--)) but can be worked around.

If the link provided in my first post (see above) does not show a map, then there is a technical issue on your side. Even with Firefox and a traditional screen (no wide screen) the link exposes a map on the right side of the screen. (Maybe zoom factor in your Firefox is not set to 100% ? Press CTRL + 0 (zero) to reset)

Thanks Emiel1.

If I have any side bar in either the browsers (Safari and Firefox) I tried, the map view/map button does not show, and it does not display using your link either.  However, as I found, if I close any sidebar, then the map function does appear and it also does appear using your link (as you expected).

I now tried Chrome and it doesn't default to a sidebar so the map function does show on the page.

I do not believe there is a technical issue on my side.  IMO I think this is an AirBnB display "anomaly" aka "bug."  However, if you know this (and it's not how it used to work because I have always used a sidebar and always used the map function),  you can close the sidebar and magically the map function shows up.  OK workaround.
