So I host in Atlanta - never in Dorian’s path. My guest was in Costa Rica - also never in Dorian’s path. His flight that connected through Florida was cancelled. I’m assuming he was given a credit or at least flight vouchers. He cancelled his reservation with me. There were no less than 6 airlines that could have gotten him here without going through Florida, including multiple nonstop flights of 4 hours. Airbnb has completely refunded him and taken the money from me. I believe the guest made a choice to lose the money on my reservation rather than buy another airline ticket. I don’t understand how Airbnb thinks it is correct to take the money from me. Thoughts?
What is your cancelation policy set at?
Strict. Cancelled the day before checkin.
People can have flight problems/cancellations for lots of reasons. I dont understand why this is different. They are giving me the email support runaround.
