Hygiene guidelines (RSPH) 2019

Cleanliness is not hygiene. “Floors and furniture may look dirty, but they usually contain microbes which are not much of a health risk.’”
Recommended “Targeted hygiene” means frequent cleaning of hands, cloths, chopping boards, and replacing drying cloths with paper towel. Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) 2019 Guidelines. BBC Report < https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-48746377>

Unfortunately the report observes the general public confuses 'cleanliness' (wiping, washing, looking clean) with hygiene, and so we have serious risks of  Gastroenteritis, rotavirus.
