Illegal Property Being Rented on airbnb ****

Illegal Property Being Rented on airbnb ****

There are 2 tiny homes offered for rent on airbnb.  One is called ****, and is located in Hewlett Gulc, Colorado, near Livermore, CO.  You can find it at [link hidden]The other is called Dragonfly, and it doesn't even eexist yet.  It can be found at [link hidden].

The **** tiny home was illegally placed on private land, and is now operating illegally.  Larimer County, CO, where these properties are located, prohibits the rental of RVs.  And, this tiny home is classified as an RV.  The owners have been told to remove the tiny home from the property, yet they continue to ignore the law and rent the home!  They are also illegally dumping grey water and polluting the environment.

They are continuing their deceptive ways with the 2nd tiny home, Dragonfly. They trespassed on private land and attempted to extort a landowner to gain access to the state land (where they want to place the 2nd tiny home) through provate property.  This tiny home will also be in violaiton of multiple county laws.

Please remove these rentals from the airbnb site, as they are operating illegally!

Obviously not aware of the details but if there is a violation the County are the ones to notify.

@Janet203  Janet, the CC (Community Center)  is not the place to notify us of illegals homes as there is nothing that can be done by anyone on the CC.  Airbnb Safety and Trust team does NOT read these posts.  Only the Community Manager and again, she is here to guide travelers and hosts on posting, contribute helpful articles and how to address those who don't post properly.  Unfortunately you have not done that which is why your post was edited quite a bit.  There are a couple of things you can do...

1.  Flag the listing by going to EACH listing and click on flag where its marked 'REPORT THIS LISTING".  You will be given a choice on why you are flagging it  Choose whichever one fits the bill.  Be 100% sure of why you are flagging though, ok?

2.  Contact your local zoning land office in your county and report this via phone call or email.  Each country has an inspector.

3.  And/or you can also contact Airbnb (the link to that info is found under my name at the end of this post) and report what you know but again, the best thing to do is flag it, which will get Airbnb's attention.

SIDE NOTE:  I recently found a listing in my Honolulu town where a beautiful home featured with STOLEN PHOTOS was on Airbnb site and I knew it was illegal too because the actual owner is selling it and enlisted my girlfriend to sell it.  A scammer was using the home and real estate photos they stole off the internet to try and get bookings and have guests send the money to him directly.  I flagged it and called into Airbnb.  I sent Airbnb the contact info of the actual homeowner who was so shocked to discover that her home was listed as a vacation rental.  The listing was removed within 72 hours.

Hope this helps you.  Thanks to everyone who reads it.

If you feel that me or another host have helped you, feel free to click on the "thumbs up" button at the end of any post. Thank you so much.

Aloha, Momi

Great way to contact Airbnb or via Twitter at AirbnbHelp / Facebook

Hello @Janet203,

Welcome to the Community Center.

Thank you for looking out for the whole of our community by trying to warn others here about these listings. As the Community Center is a place for the community to come together, it is not managed by any of the Support Team. There is a way you can flag these listings to a specific team within Airbnb though, if you go on to the listing, you will see a box a little like the one below:

 Report this listing

Also, you can contact the Support Team directly to speak with them about these listings and your concerns.

Lastly, in terms of your post you may have seen I have had to remove the specific personal information you have included, this is due to safety reasons as your post is publicly visible as outlined in the Community Center guidelines. I hope this is fine with you.

Thanks again,

Lizzie
