Incorrect location...

Hi all....I completed my listing but the the pin-drop on the map incorrectly places us in a community some distance away....and can't be corrected. Our village is renowned for wine and cuisine, so its important to get it right...thoughts?

I had the same problem, I called Airbnb and they moved my house for me.

It was really annoying as I had some guests book in because I was walking distance from the station, which I am not.  So I also risked that 'try improving your location' message from ABB because they had mislocated my house.  Sigh.

Hi Fiona, I am surprised to hear about 'the walking distance to the bus' story. So what happened with those guests?

this happened to me last year, try fixing it like this: (I couldn't reach costumer service at that time)

log on to airbnb

> on the upper riht corner of screen go to HOST, than choose MANAGE LISTINGS from the drop down menu.

> in the new page opened, click your listing title.

> on the left side of the screen choose 'location'

> a map should appear with the misplaced pin. MAKE SURE YOUR ACTUAL ADDRESS IS CORRECTLY WRITTEN ABOVE THE MAP.

if not, choose "edit address" and write your address. this should place the pin in the correct place on th map.

Before your guests complete the booking, they don't see your exact location on the map, but rather an area.

Thanks all...got it corrected right away....though it took a few tries...their spell check and map apps need a little work.  Appreciate the help!

@Owen5, if you have access to an iPad you can edit the address with the Airbnb iPad app (which you can't do on a PC). That might help you to move the pin location to the correct spot.

I followed the directions that seemed to work for others. BUT I WAS NOT ABLE TO CHANGE THE LOCATION ADDRESS.

Here is the "Help" directive:  

Edit your listing address

To edit your listing address:

1. Go to Manage Listings on airbnb.com
2. Click Manage Listing and Calendar on the listing you want to edit
3. Hover on the left side of the page to open the menu
4. Click Location
5. Click Edit Address and complete the field -- THIS DOES NOT WORK.  I CANNOT CHANGE THE INFORMATION.

Any suggestions?
