Yes me too, I can't set our properties up unless we can disable this feature.

If you area  new host you may be part of the pilot that means instant booking cannot be switched off.

It's a revenue generator for AirBnB as it allows instant, impulse buys from guests.

However, for hosts you have no opportunity to vet who is sharing your home and make a decision based on their needs and your space.
