Instant booking

Hey

I've just had an instant booker being really aggressive and think it was a scam he pays his money then complains about my response to him as I wanted all his details for flight times ect the usual things I need to give to my key holder..he refused to give me any details........because I rejected him I'm sure he will try and claim his money back from me....I reported it straight away to Airbnb .....he also said just reject me am not going to.....any thoughts on how we can be protected from these scammers .........thanks

It's a little odd for sure, but I don't understand what the advantage would be to the booker to do this, i.e. a scam. He pays his money into the system, then asks for it back before he actually stays- this is not financially of any benefit to him.  Unless he just gets off on screwing around with airbnb hosts, which would be a weird pasttime.

You have  a flexible cancellation policy, what would be the point, he can just cancel and get a refund.

@Karen794 Some people are just weird... And some of them travel, so we'll likely to host them or get in touch with them...
