We keep getting messages from airbnb, be they email message or phone messages in language other than English though messages from guests are still in English. Initially the problem was random and sporadic. Now they are all not in English.
We don't want translation on the spot or anything like that. Since the interface language of messages are in other language, any links from there will bring up pages in that language too. We have to keep changing the language setup on the webpages.
Where is the control of all these? Where is the language setting of the app?
@Valerie283 Your preferred language can be set in your account (profile setting).Also you can add a second language there. Your language (and currency) on the website can be set in the home page (bottom), also will be initially set correct if you use right platform from where you are (i am Dutch, for me it is airbnb.nl, don't know what it is for Australia). We already set the first language to be English from the very beginning. It has been alright until lately. Somehow messages we received recently are in the second language we had added. We prefer everything in English unless we have to deal with in the second language which I'm not proficient. My husband helps me with the second language when it is necessary. We added the second language just to cater for wider circle of guests.
