International bank charges

Hello everyone.  I have just hosted my first four guests over the Christmas period and have received my payments promptly directly into my bank account.  The problem is that I have received in each case less than the amount advised by AirBnB by email (host fees already deducted).  In addition I have been charged international bank charges. For a 2 night stay total deductions have amounted to about 23%.  As I, my property and all the guests are in the same country, is there any reason for this?

You may explore having your money deposited to a Paypal account instead of directly to you bank.  Airbnb can't control your bank chargeing fees.

You can make some adjustments:

- Some banks charge more than others. I would check into it and open a check account in another bank if the fees are significantly less

- Some banks charge a fix fee for every transfer. You could set a minimum ammount to be transferred to avoid paying many fees for small transactions

- I find Payoneer as a great payout method. If you have this option, I would give it a try and check the fees of this payment method
