Long term cancellation policy

Long term cancellation policy

I am about to make a 4 month reservation and would like a detail explanation of the cancellation and refund policy,

If I arrive and the apartment is not what is expected and I wish to cancel the rest of my trip from what I understand is I need to give a 30 day notice to host and will get refunded for all days after the 30 day notice. so basically 1 month will be not refundable but remaining 3 months will be refundable? Someone please clarify this for me. First time booking with Airbnb.

Thanks.

Hi @Sebastian61

I think you have a good understanding of this.  It is important to also know about the Guest Refund Policy which needs to be enacted within 24 hours of your checkin if their are any issues.  Here is more info on this: https://www.airbnb.com/help/article/544/what-is-airbnb-s-guest-refund-policy

The first month is definitely non refundable; but that's only the case if you cancel without justifiable cause.

My recommendation would be if you get there and aren't happy that you call Airbnb and discuss it with them. 30 days money is a lot and you can't afford to end up on the wrong side if you feel you have a genuine problem with the listing.

Since you're an Airbnb user, my recommendation is that you find their customer service number: Google is probably easiest, and save it in you phone so it's there if you need it.
