Messing Community admins

Is there a way to "Direct Message" site admins like Lizzie and others like we can other hosts? 

 

I have nominated several posts for possible inclusion into the Community Help section including one I wrote but dont' seem to have gotten them noticed. 

 

I would be happy to write other guides to help my fellow hosts but want to enusre there is a way to get them published.  I also used to be able to go back into my community activity to find old posts rather than have to rewrite the entire thing but It no longer seems to display the history.

I'm here! 🙂 It would be fantastic to speak with you more about this. The way David explained is an option, however this method is really for reporting more serious / admin matter, happening in the CC and so I would recommend the way below. 

 

You can mention me in your post if you need to speak with me, using the @ symbol. Some other hosts have been doing this in the What is the Community Center thread and then I can send you a DM and we can carry on the discussion. 

 

Today, we are actually experiencing a glitch with the DM function button, so this is why it is not displaying. The Tech Team are working on this as we speak and have assured me it should be back soon.

With this in mind Andrew, if it is OK, I will send you a DM as soon as it returns, hopefully tomorrow, but I will keep you posted.

 

So looking forward to speaking with you.

Thanks, that would be great. I try to tag you but there are too many other Lizzie's and you don't pop up. Wonder if there would be a way to have the admins come up first when trying to tag someone. Or be able to search.

I'm trying to find the old post I thought I tagged you on but I guess to write too many and I can't find it in my post history.

@Andrew90, @Lizzie, someone here suggested renaming Lizzie as AdminLizzie since there are a few Lizzies around. It would work.

I know it is rather fustrating, I should have a more unusual name, thanks for sharing @Sandra126. 🙂 The name 'Admin Lizzie' does have a certain something, I will look into this further.

@Lizzie I dont' see the DM so I'm not sure its quite working yet 🙂  When I attempt to send you a DM I don't see the option.  If I hover your name the only option I get is to view your profie. I see the "Send Message"  (see below)

Hello @Andrew90,

 

I am afraid, at the moment it isn't possible to send a DM to me via this way, but it is possible the other way around (this is a glitch with the setup of my account). My way of getting around this, is by asking hosts to flag to me if they want to speak to me via DM and then I can send one to them. For some reason it works this way around. 

 

Just to say our tech team are working on the DM function at the moment as part of V3 of the Community Center. Therefore, once this is released it will make this process much much more straightforward! 🙂 

 

You should be able to DM all other hosts here in the CC, who have an active listing. Also, just to check did you receive the DM I sent you earlier?
