My client ask me for a cancellation and he send me an request but how come it is a cancel as a host?

Hi I was ask my client to make canellation 5 days before.

But one of my client ask to cancel 4 days before. I thought it was fine, so I said I agreed.

But when he send me the request, it is the "cancellation as a host"!?

Is it right?

Normally what should I do in this case?

Should he just cancel by himself instead of sending me an request?

How come he can send me the request ask me to "cancel as the host"?

I should ask before I do any actions.

what should I do?

Is there an email I should send all the infomation to , inorder to explain this case?

This is a brand new change, which is really a trap as many hosts have been caught in the last few days. Contact Airbnb and complain! It looks like you are going to be penalty free, with how it is worded, but not at all. Complain! Twitter or FB best. Type Contact Airbnb in the forum and you will get all the info.

Thanks! I will go for it!

@Arthur24, here is a thread from yesterday, someone got the penalties reversed. If enough hosts complain, perhaps they will see the light.
