My first bad experience with guests

How do I review this guest.

She booked less than 12hours prior to arrival and said she would like to check in at 12pm. Booking only 1 night.  I have just started my air b&b, so was eager to please and said that it would be no problem. She said she wanted to have a midweek break away with her husband away from the kids.  I didn't really think anything about it except, that sounds nice.  I did tell her that the TV reception was not that good and it was going to be fixed, would this be a problem?  She said no they would not be using the TV,  I thought they would check in maybe go out for a dinner etc and then have a quiet night in.

Well, she arrived at 12 the next day and then a man followed her in on a motorbike, which I thought was wierd.  They preceded to go into the cottage and I could see they had no intentions of going anywhere.  I do not have a problem with that either.  At approx 5pm the man leaves and at 5:30 she knocks on the door to say that the nanny called and her 2.5 month old baby is running a fever of 40.  (I checked her out on facebook, she has older kids, not a 2.5 month old.) Her husband has already left and she is going to go home to check, she will just leave the keys with me as she may not be back.

I immediately guessed that it was not her husband that she spent the afternoon with.  I understand this is what happens out there, each for their own, my actual problem is the way she left my space.

She had clearly just finished her period and the blood was all over my sheets as well as the pillows which she had probably stuck between her legs!

I do not want to sound rude but I want to post something that will make it clear that she used my space as a motel.  I was thinking around something lijke  "I do not reccommend this guest as she only stayed for 5 hours and was not honest in her reason for her stay." or do I just leave it and not leave a review?

Clearly she was looking for a motel!

Any suggestions?

Hi @Wendy41,

I'd have written, "Guest more suitable for hotel stay. Cleanliness 1 , Communication 1★". But I'd suggest, do write a review, it's necessary for other Hosts to know, just don't mention any specifics that could possibly ruin her family.

Also, I'd use the Airbnb Resolution Center to charge her an additional cleaning fee.

Hope that helps,

Jeet

I'd wait to write a review after asking her for the extra cleaning fee.

If she acknowledges her misdeeds and pays, you can add on your review that at least she was reasonable about the damages caused, if not, you can expose her for the unwanted guest she is.

I just had a similar experience, only worse, and the guest replied by insulting me and said he's not paying a dime.

I'm still thinking what to write...
