I am an existing host and want to create a new listing seperate from my present listing as I do not want to combine stats from the two properties since they are very different.

How can I do this without creating a new registration profile?

Does someone else have to create a new profile for this?

What is acceptable procedure? 

I had the experience of creating a new listing on my profile and having a cancellation on one property which ruined my chances of reaching superhost status for the other property.

It would not be possible without a second profile and starting from scratch.

Superhost status follow the account - not the property.  

Simple solution is avoid cancellations at all costs unless there are extenuating circumstances or in the cases where you can claim that you are uncomfortable with the guest on an Instant Book reservation.
