New to Air b and b as a host

Hello everyone, I am new to hosting on Air B&B and have just had my first enquiry. The lady is new to air b&b also and doesnt appear to have any reviews. What else can i ask for to verify she is who she says she is and to ensure she is trustworthy? Thanks in advance, Kristy.

You can set your listing so only guests with photo ID can book.

If you have Instant Book turned on, turn it off (Airbnb will try to persuade you to keep it turned on - ignore them)

I always ask questions

1. Why they chose my place

2. Plans for their stay

3. If they haven't uploaded a photo /profile I ask them to do this.

Do make sure you read the tutorials and guides here and Airbnb Help Centre to help you become familiar with how Airbnb works.

Hi @Kristy33, follow what @Helen3 advised. Also as a new starter, it's good to rent out short term like 1 to 3 days per booking, in that case you are not stuck with unpleasant guests, if that happens. When I stayed at my first airbnb as guest, my host and me both were completely new to the site. But we became very good friends, now co-hosts and also are business partners. I hope you will have some experience too. 🙂
