No reservations...stumped.

Last year was our first and although it was only 3 weeks in late August, my goodness we were busy.  However, in comparison, we have had only two Airbnb bookings this whole season....since July 1st. Now, in all honesty, we are also using another platform and have been pretty busy with them, but I would rather it was AirBnb..and I just cannot figure out what I am doing poorly..or differently. Maybe my pricing..but it is the same as last year.  Unless I am being punished by software for being on another platform?

 

If anyone wants to look at the listing...'Sunshine and Wine Loft' in Penticton BC..and has any suggestion? I'd be delighted.

@Gary62  When I search with criteria matching your listing you come up first.  However, I see your calendar is fairly full so travelers have to match your availability.  Perhaps you had more availability when you started last year.  Your listing looks good to me and you have good reviews.  I think your use of another booking platform is not "punished" but it does affect your availability.  Why would you like more Air BNB bookings?

Hi Linda..thanks for taking a look. Why AirBnB?..I suppose brand loyalty. It is the platform I turn to for my own travels and I feel a certain kinship with the company philosophy. Oh My God...schmalzy or what!!

I was just talking with another host about this new "Goals" tab in Stats, @Gary62. Has it shown up for you yet? If not, it will. I'm not keen on it myself, as it seems just another way to nag me to cram in more guests. However, you are asking the very questions it answers re getting guests, maximising earnings. You are likely the target for this new thing. 

So you might try it and see whether it helps?

Going through a very similar issue. I have not had a booking request in this busiest of the season in Cambridge, MA

I have over 40 plus reviews on this listing. Totally stressed. Please search and see if anyone is seeing it. I think it is an airbnb glitch but receiving no help from AirBnB. I update my calendar every few hours in a day, do everything I read online but no movement.

@S31  I was able to find your listing on the first page when I zoomed the calendar closer to Harvard, which according to your reviews is one of your strongest assets.  There was quite a bit of competition and your pricing seemed to be on the higher side.  Not sure if that is a factor or not, but there is much posting on this host forum about lowering price due to competition.

Thanks Linda. I have tried reduced price too but it's not working. I don't think my price is high in comparison to other listings in the area. And it's not just this listing. The entire account is affected (I have multiple listings).
