**PETITION AIRBNB FOR CONTACT NUMBERS ON WEBSITE**

FULL LIST OF CONTACT NUMBERS ARE AT THE END OF MY RANT

Airbnb is fantastic. I'll never book hotels again if I can help it, and I think we'll all agree it's opened a whole new world of accomodation possibilities when you're travelling.

BUUUUUUUT... they make it pretty difficult to contact them on the phone, don't they? You'll trawl community boards and find Airbnb evangalists pontificating on how they've 'discovered' new and exciting ways of contacting them, like Twitter or Facebook or whatever. Cue a collective pat on the back from everyone. 'Oh, of course I would never call them! The contact phone numbers are for URGENT MATTERS only!' PLEASE UNDERSTAND that they only promote this idea because so they don't have to pay for bigger call centres. It's a BUSINESS STRATEGY and nothing more. There is only one number for urgent matters, and that's the emergency number for police/fire/ambulance. The only emergency for a company ever faces is that it stops turning a profit. So please listen to me when I say, your first port of call is ALWAYS to call.

When you actually get through they're super helpful and you'll get whatever issue you have solved in 10 mins flat. I know because I've done it. The best way to ever get any issue resolved from any company FULL STOP is to call them. It's so basic, and it's frankly suprising that more people don't get this... I feel like I'm taking crazy pills here people! It's about time people sopped listing to radicalised 'top contributors' wax lyrical about the joys of getting a response in a few days from some eliptical social media strategy, and to start hassling Airbnb to take care of their customers/clients.

Sorry for the rant. The numbers are below.   Call em, ask them why their numbers aren't on their websites. Ask to speak to managers. Hit up Facebook and Twitter (and post the numbers too). Share them, stick them over missing cat posters, pin them to community noticeboards, send them to your granny instead of a christmas card. Just don't be victims y'all.

@Rohan2 Ok, here's a rebuttal.  Have you any idea how many people call Airbnb with simple questions they can find for themselves through the Help articles?  With literally millions of reservations booked on a daily basis, how many employees do you think Airbnb would have to hire and train to answer the phones?  10,000, 50,000, 100,000?  How much would you be willing to pay in service fees?

For the convenience of reaching someone by phone would you be willing to pay 10% in service fees as opposed to 3%?

Not only in this forum but elsewhere I see guests and hosts contacting a human being at Airbnb for help that they could get themselves if they were only willing to spend the time and effort to get the answer themselves.  BUUUUUT no, they have to call Airbnb and tie up the phone lines for simple questions.  The phone lines are intended to help people with emergencies and urgent situations, not to be an extra help center.

Yep, I use Twitter a lot.  Great service there.

Wow I wrote a reply and realised that the contact numbers are pretty easy to find in google. I don't get why it's so difficult for people... Ah well anyway they should still put their numbers on their site 🙂

Pretty easy to find in Google. Clearly outlined at the top of the forum you are posting in. And in the Contact Us section in Airbnb Help.

Somewhat ironic that hosts complain guests don’t read their listings properly when they are often guilty of not reading Airbnb Help Centre and searching this Community Centre themselves.

Hello Clare, the percentage you pay is not an excuse to be unreachable, AIRBNB makes MILLIONS in revenue and they are a pioneer in online hospitality, you will think they have a better call center. Now, let me say that I had been a Superhost for a while now so I get the perk of that Golden phone number just for SUperhosts, just called today with a random generic simple nonsense brainless question, and I hate to bother with an issue so basic, so I asked for the help center email address, so next time I could email instead of wasting their time (and mine) THEY DONT HAVE AN HELP EMAIL ADDRESS!! Now that's  something, I love AIRBNB more than the other sites I use to market my home, but please agree that our dear guests and fellow hosts deserve a decent help center. Don't justify a multimillion company for not offering that servisomething

Hi. Could you clarify about the email ? Offcourse there are two options that appear when you click "Still need help?"
1. Call Us

2. Message

Once you click message and send your query, an automatic response is received. Shortly thereafter a case manager is assigned and the query is followed till the conclusion is reached. Does that leave for any further scope for improvement ?

Just imagine the 000's of call's beginning with ' i can't find my listing' or ' when do I get my payment' or 'why is my calendar blocked after I cancelled' or ' my guest is using too much toilet roll' or 'insert your own favourite here' or ......

Boo hoo. It's not our problem, it's theirs. They need to be like practically every other company that has a helpline. It should be part of the service, why should they get a pass? Honestly, it's like people think Airbnb is this poor strung out single parent juggling a career and 3 children while people are calling them with inane questions. They're a company, they make money and pay people to man phones. It's reaaaaallllyy simple.

And so what Elena? They are a multimillion company, I get a lot of elderly guests that are, sometimes challenge by the computers and todays technology. Can they call? I don't believe there is stupid question,  your dear guests and co-hosts deserve a good quality help center contact system, don't you think so? I'm fine, I'm a Superhost to I get the luxury of a phone number. Can you share with us the help center email address? I may be wrong... What you think?

oh my god THANK YOU for this!

now i'm just waiting for sweden to answer, 5 min so far, music in my irritated ear...

Totally agree with Rohan. Why can this other big platform called Booking.com have callcenters all over the world and offices in almost every country where you can go. They ask (15 % from the host) in total the same commission as Airbnb does (3 % from the host and 12 % from the guest). What if we hosts react the same way by not being reachable for our guests. The way we have to be reachable for our guests by mail or phone, Airbnb has to be for his partners.

To be honest, I never had an issue reaching them on their toll free number from India ( which is missing in the list

India:

008004405103

0 800 4405 103

Now India as we know is a large country and consequently huge number of home listing. I have reached out both through the phone line and the message option, I have been dealt in the most supportive and professional manner. Most of us might know that once you click " Still need help?" you are directed to choose "Call" or "Message Us"
Once you click call- the phone number of the concerned region is shown
Once you click message- write your query, an automated response is recieved. Therafter a case manager is assigned, who follows it until the case reached conclusion

To my mind, given the large traffic of calls and messages, they have surpassed my expectations each time.

I agree, they take a decent commission and it is so hard to get hold of any help when you need it. Airbnb would not exist without superhosts like me and yet they don't exist for me when I need help to be a superhost.  Aghhhh.
