Hi,

I am a new host. First of all, Airbnb claims to know nothing about exchange4free and warned not to reply to mails.

How many days normally before you receive payment in your account with direct deposit ?This is day 5 and still nothing  I'm with Standard BAnk

Just been through this myself, and to cut a long story short Exchange4Free is legit, just fill out the mandate form and you will receive payment the same day. I completed mine yesterday and received payment straight away.

Good luck.

Cheers

Mike

Hi All,

I had the same emails from Exchange4 free together with now multiple phone calls.

Having phoned Airbnb I was advised by email that this was a scam and told not to respond or disclose any information?

Still waiting for money from 23rd and 27th August with another guest arriving today.

It woud be good if Airbnb could come up with a statement concerning this rather than relying on hosts to take risks.

I have asked Exchange4free to have Airbnb communicate with me to confirm they are legut but still nothing.

Its very unprofessional all round in this day and age of internet frauds and scams being common place.

Having given my banking details to Airbnb I would be curious to know where I allowed them to then pass this info onto a third party company with out my agreement.

I have had the following email from AirB&B.  We are waiting for a payment which exchange4free claim to be holding.

Dear Liz,

Thank you for contacting us about the messages you received—I’m so sorry to hear that you had this experience. I’ve forwarded this issue to our Trust and Safety team for further investigation.

Please do not communicate with Exchange4free anymore. If you were in contact with Exchange4free, we recommend changing the password for both your email account and your Airbnb account immediately. Exchanging contact information without an accepted reservation isn’t safe practice, as it can expose you to online fraud.
