just one question. Just heard from the HOA right now that the pool area will be closed for two weeks in September due to mechanical issues. Unfortunately I have two existing reservations during this time frame. Any idea how to proceed? Cancel? Offer a refund?
So you never want to cancel because you will be penalized for that. Inform your guests that you just received word that the pool will be closed during their stay. See how they respond. They can cancel if they wish.
Yeah, thats life and you have no control over it. Just tell the guests the situation, offer them the opportunity to get a XX% discount and leave it be. The most important thing is to not make it a big deal, some things are just out of our control and most guests do understand that.
