Price Changes

Hi all,

I had a request to book today. (we are instabook, but they had no reviews).  our nightly price was $99/night.   We do offer a 5% discount for 4 nights.  (total of 376) Their request came in at $85/night ($340)

Did Airbnb change my price?  or Can the guest offer less when they go to book?

@Mark-and-Carin0 No, the guest can't offer less without writing and asking first.

Whenever I have a math problem I just message @Airbnbhelp on Twitter and ask them how they came up with the number.  On more than one occasion I've completely forgotten that I had sent out a special discount offer or some such.

You don't say whether you use Smart Pricing.  If you do, what is your minimum?

Hi Ann,

We do not use smart pricing.  I'm fairly confident that I had changed all of my weekday pricing to $99.  Of course I couldn't tell once the request was received.  It all worked out....I messaged the guest and they agreed to the pricing we wanted.

I'll keep an eye on it, but I'm concerned that Airbnb set my pricing without my consent.
