Pricing and Cleaning Fees

Hi all, we're new hosts and our first guest indicated in her review that our cleaning fee was high. We have a 3bed/2bath home and we allow up to 8 guests and pets (with and extra $25). Our nightly prices are lower than comparable homes. The cleaning fee goes to a single mom who will be using the money to help make ends meet. We will be paying her the $75 cleaning fee no matter what because we feel it's fair. With the time it takes her to drive over to our home and clean it's easily 3 hours. I'm sure that time will vary based on number of guests and the amount of laundry she needs to do. We do ask guests to start a load of laundry and run the dishwasher (when we've been guests it's been what we've been asked to do).

I did some looking around and have seen a pretty big range in fees anywhere from $25 - $110 a night.

What are your thoughts? Are there more creative ways to price, like perhaps lowering the cleaning fee but charging more per night or extra if we go over 4 guests? Or do we just wait and see what others say?

Explanation of the cleaning fee shows there is some "social" connection. Nice to know, but for the guests it is just a cleaning fee to be paid. Leave it in place, if more guests complain then move to other options like increasing nightly price.
