Problems with the refund

It turns out that the host canceled a reservation I made with a credit card associated with an account that no longer exists. Then the refund has been made to that account. I called the bank to ask and they told me that the account is effectively disabled and that in these cases the payment is simply rejected. But my surprise was when I call Airbnb and they tell me that the payment has been made and that the bank has it in a kind of cloud and that I have to tell them where they send it ...

Is someone else in this situation? I'm thinking of filing a complaint for scam because I've been a week and from Airbnb all they tell me is that they are reviewing it and when they call me again they always tell me the same thing later, what the bank has ...

@Rodrigo304I did have a situation where a guest payment did not come through to my account. I phoned AirBnb and they said they sent it, and the bank said they hadnt received it. After getting a little angry AirBnb did an investigation. It turned out that AirBnb sends payments through the banking system and these are processed through the system overnight and occasionally payments that have no account to go to "sit" in this overnight processing system and neither the sender or receiver are aware of. After some patience AirBnb did eventually re-send the payment through the system and this time it did arrive OK.

So...the kind of cloud you are talking about is most likely this bank processing system, and yes..they will need to re-enter the bank details again..to re process the refund...

At least ..it sounds like a similar problem to mine.... it is the processing system "fault" rather than anyone looking at a screen at either AirBnb or the bank....
