Public and cleanliness review

Are these public?  How do I respond to these?  They do not have their own response box.

When the guests rate you in the different sub-categories and they give you less than 5 stars a box will pop up and they are asked to explain why they gave less than 5 stars. It is private. Only you as a host can see it. 

Also when you reply to a review the guest won't get a notification that you wrote a reply. It will only be upcoming guests reading your reviews that will read your replies.

Thank-you. This review process is sinething that is my pete peve. Specially when the guest does not read House Rulea and complains!  Also at times I have done review and because in ohone i hit the wrong keys and then I cant edit!
