Rating System Fuzzy Math

I don’t understand the fuzzy math behind these ratings for us host.

Look at the attached image above. 

For example, 

Guest B’s rating shows 4 stars but in the six areas everything is 5 stars.  How is this possible?  Is not having a washer and a dryer which is CLEARLY spelled out in the listing dropping the 5 starts to 4?  How can the average of all 5 be a 4? 

Guest J’s rating shows 3 stars but shows 4 starts for two areas and 5 stars for the other 4. Shouldn’t the average of this be 4.67 instead of 3? 

Can someone here please explain to us the fuzzy math behind these rating systems?

@Tomas41 the overall rating is not an average of the other categories but a separate category.

Then in that case, the rating itself from the user makes no sense.  How come B give out an overall of 4 with everything else being  4 and her only issue is not having a washer and a dryer which is CLEARLY spelled out in the listing?

How can J give out a 3 star whit a comment like "A clean place to stay with overall good communication" with the accuracy and value a 4 and everything else a 5? 

Shouldn't the guest's overall experience reflect the reflect the specifics?

@Tomas41 yes it should but logic isn't everyone's strong side. Anyway, nothing we can do about that othen than educating the guests about the rating system if you feel that it is unfair. Airbnb hasn't done anything about that still even though hosts are complaining about this for years. On the other side there are guests that may feel like the other cathegories were 5* but since the overall is a separate category they didn't feel like their overall experience was 5* for reasons known only to them.
