Registering my property in Andalucia

Hi Everyone,

I want to register my property in Andalucia (Granada) with the tourist board.   I understand that I need to supply them with a land register reference.  I have the deeds (escrituras) to my house since 1986 when I bought it.    My question is whether the land register reference is on my deeds or if I need to go to the land registry office to find it.

I do hope hope someone here in Andalucia can advise, as the registration period to keep my listing on Is running out.  Thank you.

Airbnb say this is straightforward but I am a bit lost tbh! Andalucia people zero help.

Hi It seems that we have to register now or will not be able to rent out our spare room anymore.  I have downloaded the form but to be honest I can't understand it as my Spanish is not very good.  I have sent it over to my solicitor but no response yet.  I don't see the benefit of having to register and take passport details, notification to police etc., etc., when letting a spare room during the summer months.  Looks like me and many others will be leaving ABB which is a shame as I've met some very interesting people through hosting.  Saddened and annoyed.....its definitely not straightforward.

I agree. I have tried to fill out the form using google translate but have no luck. i keep getting messages that there are missing sections and dont understand what they mean!

Someone out there with a good knowledge of the Spanish language could earn a tidy sum from this debarcle by charging us brits to filll the forms out. At this stage I would be happy to pay someone to do it for me!

I have recently registered my apartment mostly successful!

I paid a local lawyer in Fuengirola to help me register my apartment. I phsycially went to the town hall with my deeds, passport and NIE which was on my deeds luckily. They took copies and said it was all ok.

Then my lawer sent me the file by email with the registration number and i got Airbnb to help me relist my apartment.

Now i have purchased the medical kit, information pack etc.

Now i am also asking Airbnb to help me register each guest with local policia as this is a separate process. I guess they will eventually do a routine check up, i only just registered in September 2018 so hopefully no fine.

The lawyer company is ADH Aseoria, Fuengirola and can help you do it all remotely i think! Cost €150 and can also file taxes for €20 per month.
