Can someone please advise on why this would be happening?
I have had 2 requests thus far on dates that were blocked on my calendar. The point of blocking is obviously to stop such requests from occurring in the first place. After I decline I get an ironic little comment from Airbnb about how I should keep my calendar up to date.
@Terr0 which dates are they? your listing appears blocked till 18th September.
sometimes guests can search your listing without a check-in date and your listing appears in the search. They can then ask if it's available. When the inquiries were made, were they for the blocked dates? I had guests inquiring on 17-19th Sep for instance, and then asked for Feb next year when it's totally unavailable.
The request was for 17-18th May. Those dates were definitely blocked at the time.
I'm currently having problems with the person who made that request who was of course declined at the first point of contact. He's saying that Air Bnb have taken his money and is asking me to help him solve the issue.
A bit of a headache as I don't think I am any way at fault and I'm baffled as to why the request would have come through when it was clearly blocked.
It's really annoying that they take payment before confirmation of a booking. Unfortunately you can't do anything except to flag it to AirBNB to refund him (which is I'm sure exactly what he's already done).
hi i only have two romes booked but airbnb shows the whole place is full. Any advice since i have other guest wanting to book and they can't because the dates are blocked.
