I wonder if anyone can help? A guest booked 6 days and after 3 days decided to go home 2 days early. I adjusted the reservation but a pay out was already on it's way to my account. So Airbnb and took the difference off my next reservation the following week.
I've now had a request for a refund (different amount from the debit from my acount). I thought Airbnb would manage this directly with the guest but it says I need to respond. What do I do?
@Kirsty28 It may be a timing issue with the automated system. I think your instincts to let Air BNB manage the process is correct so you just decline the request.
Thank you for your advice Linda, much appreciated. In two years of hosting it's the first time someone has altered their reservation while staying with me, the refund side of things is all new to me 😉
