Response rate stuck at 0%

Dear all,

We published our property a couple of weeks ago. Since then we have received several enquiries and always replied to the messages within the stipulated 24h. But for some reason, our response rate is fixed at 0%. Does it take AirBnb long to update the statistics or there is something we are missing?

A couple of notes, just in case it might have to do with the response rate:

- We have not had any guest until now

- We have had to decline several requests

- For some reason, we had to re-confirm our email-address today

Are any of these factors influencing the response rate in any way?

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you all!!

@AraBnb0 This is so odd- if you respond to enquires and accept/decline requests all within 24 hours- then it should update accordingly in your account, takes about 24-48hr.
Maybe there is a bug in your account- we had this once and by contacting we were able to make them aware of it and have it corrected.

Good luck to you! 🙂

@AraBnb0  First of all, do you understand the difference between an Inquiry and a Request?

For an Inquiry, all you need to do is message back within 24 hours- you do not need to either pre-approve or decline.

For a Booking Request, you do have to Accept or Decline within 24 hours.

You say you've had to decline several requests- why? Declining counts against you on your Acceptance rate. Obviously you would need to decline requests (not inquiries) which are inappropriate, but you need to try to get the guest to understand why you can't accomodate their request and ask them to withdraw their request so they will be free to book a listing which meets their needs. Hopefully they will, if not, then you will have to decline.

But never decline an Inquiry- just message back.
