Reviews by co-host

Hello,

I am a co-host and I deal with the guests most of the time.

Yesterday I was not pleased with one of our guest so I left him an average review of 3, and a pretty nasty comment.
I wrote the review from my account, my app on the phone so I was very surprised then the review came out under the host's name instead of mine.

This is truly unfair for the host knowing that she did not interacted with the guest directly, nor witnessing any issue that may have occured.
I wrote it, then it should have been my name appearing to be the one giving review.

I know reviews cannot be edited nor changed upon 48 hours or when guest have left theirs.

But I hope there is still a way to revert it, at least put something to mark that it was not written by the host.

Does anyone know? I have tried contacting Airbnb feedback form but I don't think they will react on this.

I hope in the future Airbnb will allow a co-host to leave a review as well.

Best,
Ines

You are the agent for the host - you stand in for him or her, so your review reflects the experiience you or the host had.

It's unfortunate that you wrote a nasty review - that is uncalled for, even in the most extreme circumstances. All you need to do is post a professional response.

I doubt very much that AirBnB will remove or change the review as that experience is one that other guests could also experience from the co-host. However, worthwhile trying and remembering that nasty reviews have a bad habit of coming back to haunt a host or guest.
