Hello everyone. I have been a host now for going on two months now. I have a 3 bedroom, 2 bathrooom, 2000 sq. ft. home that sleeps 13. I charge a $150 cleaning fee, but my most recent guests, 2 adults and 5 children, left about 200 rocks thrown into the bottom of my pool in the backyard. The guest left minimal cleaning on the inside of the home. If this were your issue, would you request andditional funds from deposit? Any and all ideas would be appreciated.
Yes. Hire someone to clean the rocks out of the pool and file a claim via the resolution center. You must do this with 48 hours after check-out and before next guest check in.
Take lots of pics and get a quote and place your complaint with the resolution centre
Hi @Jon322,
Welcome to the Community Center.
I am so sorry to hear about this! Were you able to solve this through the Resolution Center as recommended by Lisa and Jacky?
It'd be great if you could update us on this.

No. They haven’t responded to the request for additional funds for cleaning and inspection.
@Jon322, just when you think people couldn't be more ignorant...
Hopefully, it's just a matter of getting it cleaned up and no damage was done. As others have said, get your claim in asap!
Two adults and five children are a potentially dangerous ratio. I welcome school aged children only, and I want the ratio to be 1-1. So five children would require five adults! Once had a 1-2 ratio and things were broken and left a mess.
Rocks in the pool! They had a lot of fun (at your expense). Let's hope you have a good resolution from Airbnb.
