SMS Notification but No Airbnb Notification NOR Message In Account??

Hi All, just now I received two sms notifications, which is normal, however I did not receive the corresponding Airbnb app notifications.  Upon investigation, the app was closed - thank you sms notifications! - yet this is the worse part, when I log into my account, there is NO message?  It is concerning to say the least as there is never usually an issue with Airbnb apps.  

 

Any suggestions?  Airbnb Support - would really love your assistance on this as I'm now losing potential bookings because I can't even reply to the guest who messaged me, either via sms or the app.  😞

I just had this happen to me.  Upon digging I found that the potential guest made an inquiery in March and I declined.  Now here message string is connected to the previous request.  I recieved no text of inbox message.  I'm contacting tech support for help.

How do you contact tech support... I don't see a contact us email address or phone number.... there use to be a phone number you could call and chat with someone... an email contact would be great...Thanks you..

Same here, and the message is addressed to somebody else!

So got the SMS, but nothing on my profile.

it is a new thing but today I did recieve a airbnb prinng notification when a new request came in. I am fine with that.

Hi Everyone, the very same thing has happened to us a number of times

and its very frustrating not having a contact at AirBnb to help resolve the issue. 

Has anyone had their problems resolved ???

Welcome to the Community Center. 

 

As this is quite an old post now, I imagine this is a seperate issue. 

 

However, in terms of your question here, I have found when I update my Airbnb app sometimes it is easy to say 'yes' to push notifications only, I have done this several times! Therefore this may have happened to you, if you go into your app > Profile > Settings > Notifications, make sure you have the relevant notifications selected, below 'Push notifications' is a section for 'Text message notifications' as well.
