STOP Email Notifications

We get our notifications on the app (new bookings, reviews needed, reviews received).  I do not need more emails than I already get.  When I try and turn them off, it's greyed out.  Does anyone know how to overcome this?

Good question!

 

When I check my own notification settings, none of them seem greyed out. It mentions in this article that some notifications cannot be turned off, does this apply to the ones you see greyed out perhaps? 

 

There are some important notifications that can’t be turned off. You don’t want to miss notifications about:

  • Reservations
  • Account activity
  • Legal updates
  • Security and privacy notices
  • Customer service requests

If not, could you tell me if you're trying this on mobile on desktop please? I'll then see if I can find more info for you.  🙂

@Emilie Thank you so much for getting back to me!  

 

If you look at my image above, all of those "account activity and policies" subjects, once you open them, have an "Email" section and they are all greyed out for me.  I think that's all OK except for the "Listing Activity" one (that I pasted above).  That's the one that I'd like to kill notifications for.  

 

Every time we get a booking, get a review, get an inquiry, we're getting emails.  With 8 listings, this means 10-20 emails a day.  It's really frustrating. 

 

I can appreciate needing to get emails related to new policies, law changes, resolution requests, etc.  But these notifications for bookings/inquiries/reviews are way too much.  Please help!  

 

Is there something that I'm doing wrong?

@Richard531 It looks like the "Listing Activity" notifications are part of the Account Activity ones that you can't turn off. I can imagine that receiving that many emails daily can be a bit frustrating so I'm more than happy to forward your suggestion to have the option available. I'd recommend you do the same via the Feedback Form. 🙂

 

In the meantime perhaps it could be an idea to set up a filter in your email inbox. You could try filtering on the email title and have these emails sent to a separate folder rather than your main inbox.

Still though, these are simple functionality that Airbnb should really add.  😞
