Search Long Beach, CA - top responses include Venice Beach, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, etc.

Can someone please tell me why, when I search Long Beach, CA, I get listings from Venice Beach, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, etc. in top positions of the response?

I don't know the answer but am replying to get the thread started because I'm interested in why this might be.

From what I can see, the top 4-5 listings all have their location set as 'Los Angeles' rather than Venice Beach, etc, which is in the description.

They are also all superhosts.

Maybe others can help with how this might be?

It is a mystery.  I suggest you use the map function and zoom in to the area you want to be and use the filters for the rest of your criteria.

It is illogical and is taking money away from Long Beach Hosts. If a guest knows enough to search for Long Beach, then that is what they should get back... not LA or Venice, which are quite a distance, especially during traffic.

This is very frustrating.
