It is not charged in the first place.  It only comes into action if there is a claim.

I am new host on airbnb and I just found out the place in the listing where I can determine the security deposit value. I have already confirmed bookings before I found out about this. Are these clients subject to this even if when they booked there was no mention about it?

No, only new guests will be subject to any changes such as a security deposit.

I DONT REALLY KNOW IF THIS IS THE RIGHT PLACE..BUT I CAN T DO OR CONFIRM ANY BOOKINGS FOR DECEMBER..HIGH SEASON IF I HAVENT GOT A 50% DEPOSIT OF THE GUEST IN MY BANK..
