Service fee

I was just wondering how important the Service fee is? Is it requried to charge or it is optional? How much is that and who is responsible for paying host or tenants?

It sounds like it would be worth you spending some more time understanding how BNB works before you let your listing go live.

The service fee is charged by BNB to cover the cost of running the service.

It is not optional.

You pay a fee (taken from your fees) and so does the guest - shows when they book.

A guest asked for a special discount since he wanted to stay for 19 nights.  I sent a special discount offer, reducing my price by 10%.  But then the Service Fee went UP!  He decided not to book with me because the price remained high for him.  Can anyone explain why the Service Fee would be raised when I offered to lower my price for this guest?
