Short term changes about apartement

So today - just 2 days before my arrival - I noticed, that the host changed all pictures and nothing is as expected anymore as to the time, when I booked the Airbnb. Since I just looked up for the Airbnb yesterday, it happened just recently. Furthermore the prices changed as well - the Airbnb costs now almost just the half of what I paid! This is very frustating and I would love to know what my rights as a guest are.

Thanks in advance!

@Viktoria54

does it look like the same place or it's a different apartment/room?

You can contact your host and ask him what happened' Did he change the furniture or the house?

If you don't like it and don't want to risk then call Airbnb and ask them to cancel your booking and refund you.

@Viktoria54  As @Branka-and-Silvia0 said, message the host to find out what's going on as far as the photos- is this the same place? Hosts do change their photos sometimes, but if it looks like a completely different place, that's strange.

As far as pricing goes- That can vary dramatically from one day to the next. The host may be using Smart Pricing, which is a computer algorithm that will automatically raise or lower prices according to demand, competition, etc. Or the host may have dropped the price because they're trying to fill unbooked days.

This doesn't just happen on Airbnb- you can go to an airline website, see a ticket for a really good price, but you don't book it because you're busy or you need to check with a friend who's traveling with you to see if they can leave on that day. The next day you go back to book it, and the price has gone up by $75. Then, a day or two before the flight leaves, they still have 2 empty seats to fill, and the price is suddenly halved. It doesn't mean you've been scammed, that's just the way these things happen.
