Short term rental in an apartment building in Toronto

I have been an airbnb host for quite sometime now & today I received a notice from my apartment maganement office to stop short term rental at my primary residence.

I am looking to get inputs from other fellow hosts who went through same experience or anyone who has some insights on this matter.

What should be my next step to resolve this situation?

Thank you for your time & help!

Many such blocks forbid short term Airbnb type rentals . It will depend on the exact wording of your lease.

I can image others in the block  have complained  as a constant flow of guests can be quite disruptive.

I personally spoke to all my immediate neighbours, gave them my mobile to call at fist sign of any issue. Guests are not permitted to arrive after 9pm for check in. It’s stated in our house rules, so If they instant book I cancel if they are planning to arrive later.

I would discuss with management company and offer some action to minimise any issues. Screening guests and maybe offer to only accept guests with 5 or so great reviews. Avoid the smoking in entrance type of guest / the party types. These really freak out the neighbours!
