damages

After my tenant checked out I flushed the toilet while cleaning . It over flowed and was backed up. I did the repairs myself to save plumbers cost. I went to the resolution center and found I have to ask the extenant for the payment . I dont expect they will agree. the cost is 76.00 It seems dumb I am required to ask the tenant for a reimbursement .I sent the tenant copys of the receipt. I have no pictures of the work. Has anyone had similar experiance? thanks Gary

We have never had a problem with our toilets but last year we had the toliet back up twice during the stay of two different guests. Since we also live here it is pretty difficult to determine who really clogged our 'low water' toliets. We just paid the bill. But I do have a little sign that asks guests to 'hold the lever down to the slow count of 5' because otherwise it does not flush completly.

I figure it is just part of our overhead.

Thanks
